Ofqual
Ofqual are the regulator of qualifications, exams and assessments in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland. They are responsible for giving formal recognition to bodies and organisations that deliver qualification and assessments as well as accrediting awards and monitoring their activities

The Department of Education are responsible for Education and Children’s Services in England.

The Register of Regulated Qualifications
The Register of Regulated Qualifications contains details of Recognised Awarding Organisations and Regulated Qualifications in England (Ofqual), Wales (DCELLS) and Northern Ireland ( Ofqual for vocational qualifications and CCEA for all other qualifications)

The Young Persons Learning Agency (YPLA) is responsible for the supporting Local Authorities in commissioning suitable education and training opportunities for 16-19 year old, funding academies for all their provision as well as providing financial support to young learners.
